What are
charging stations
The charging stations on the map are (semi) public ev-chargers primarly for charging electric vehicles. The charging stations are in ownership of municipalities or private companies and mostly exploited by a Charge Point Operator.
Accessing charging stations
To use a charging station differently than charging an electric vehicle it’s necessary to get an approval from the owner and the charge point operator. By sending a request to use a charging station via the MAP we coordinate the request with the right parties.
For using a charging station differently then charging electric vehicles in most municipalities the following rules apply:
Use the approved equipment for connecting with a charging station
The use of the building charging card
Use the right
equipment
The use of a public (AC) charging station is only allowed if the safety instruction are followed while installing an adapter. An adapter is mostly needed because of the need for a CEE socket instead of a Type 2 socket.
The following type of adapters are in accordance with the guidelines:
IQ-laad adapter
Building
charging card
The use of the specific NRG building charging card is mandatory. With this charging card a safely use of the charging station is guaranteed.
Why is this card
special?
The card is recognized by all the charge point operators as a card that is being used differently and not for charging an electric vehicle
While using this card you’re ensured of using the charging station without interruptions due to limitations of kWh-usage and/or duration of the session
